About Us

Founded in 1996, Bukang Liwayway (BL) Foundation has continuously expanded its community development projects (scholarship, training & discipleship, child development centre & annual camps) in several areas and encourages economic, emotional, social, cognitive, physical and spiritual development among the underprivileged. BL has engaged in healthcare, livelihood training & projects, and education initiatives in the communities for the past 20 years.

History

1996

Patrick Hobbs started to live among the poor.

1997

Introduction of Jordan project in Welfareville Mandaluyong, a community Development Project.

2000

Started the work in Cogeo Antipolo

2002

Started the work in Calapan and Malabon

2002

Started the work in Balik Balik Manila

2005

Started the work in Pandacan Manila

2007

Started the work in Trece Marteres, Cavite

2008

Started the work in Marilao, Bulacan

2015

Started the work in Padilla, Antipolo

2015

Started a partnership work with OMF Samar Team, in Visayas

1996 - 2000

Bukang Liwayway is a Simple Community Development Program, partnering with local churches. Making Disciples among the poor. Reaching out to 4 cities in at least 4 Barangays.

2000 - 2001

Transition to Holistic Church Multiplication Movement (HCMM) Reaching out to 4 cities in approximately 4-6 Barangays.

2001 – 2006

HCMM Foundational years, Churches Intentionally planting churches and expanding to nearby Barangays. Reaching out to approximately 15 Barangays

2007 – 2016

Flourishing Holistic Church Movement. Reaching out to 6 Cities, approximately 22 Barangays, with growing school sponsorship program and Medical & TB program. A total of 111 House Churches.

2017

There are 135 House Churches, 140 leaders and 90 potential leaders being trained in holistic ministries. A few more barangays were added to the outreaches.
